90/10 can change you and your life....!!!!

What is this principle?

10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react.

What does this mean?

We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us.
We cannot stop the car from breaking down.

The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off.

A driver may cut us off in traffic.

We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the
other 90%.

How?

By your reaction.

You cannot control a red light. but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool
you; YOU can control how you react.

Let's use an example.

You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee
onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just happened.

What happens next will be determined by how you react.

You curse.
You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in
tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup
too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs
and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy
crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus.
Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your
daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph
speed limit.
After a 15-minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your
daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20
minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it
continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home.
When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse
and daughter.

Why?

Because of how you reacted in the morning.

Why did you have a bad day?

A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is "D".

You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5
seconds is what caused your bad day.

Here is what could have and should have happened.

Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "Its ok
honey, you just need to be more careful next time". Grabbing a towel you rush
upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time
to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and
waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss
comments on how good the day you are having.
Notice the difference?
Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different.

Why?

Because of how you REACTED.

You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was
determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle.

If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You
don't have to let the negative comment affect you!
React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a
friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off) Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them?
WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your drive?

Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.

You are told you lost your job.
Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time
into finding another job.
The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take outpour
frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on.
Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It
will just make things worse.

Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results.
You will lose nothing if you try it. The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and
apply this principle.

The result?

Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and
heartache. We all must understand and apply the 90/10 principle.
It CAN change your life!!!

WinDow

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood.

The next morning, whilethey are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hang thewash outside.

That laundry is not very clean, she said, she doesn't know how towash correctly.

Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.

Her husband looked on, but remained silent.

Every time her neighborwould hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the samecomments.

About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice cleanwash on the line and said to her husband: "Look! She has learned howto wash correctly.

I wonder who taught her this.

The husband said: "I got up early this morning and cleaned ourwindows!"

And so it is with life: "What we see when watching others depends onthe purity of the window through which we look. Before we give any criticism, it might be a good idea to check our state of mind and askourselves if we are ready to see the good rather than to be lookingfor something in the person we are about to judge. A lot to learn from an Eagle...

Eagles were the symbol of almost all conquerors, be it Caesar or Hitler the reason is!!

Inspiration from the "7 Principles of an Eagle"
Author Dr. Myles Monroe

1. Eagles fly alone at a high altitude and not with sparrows or mix with other smaller birds like geese. Birds of a feather flock together. No other bird goes to the height of the eagle. Eagles fly with eagles. Never in a flock. Even when Moses (Old Testament Bible) went to commune with God on the mountain, he left the crowd at the foothills. Stay away from sparrows and ravens. Eagles fly with eagles.

2. Eagles have strong vision, which focuses up to 5 kilometers from the air. When an eagle sites prey- even a rodent from this distance, he narrows his focus on it and sets out to get it. No matter the obstacle, the eagle will not move his focus from the prey until he grabs it.

Have a vision and remain focused no matter what the obstacle and you will succeed.

3. Eagles do not eat dead things. He feeds on fresh prey. Vultures eat dead animals but not eagles.

Steer clear of outdated and old information. Do your research well always.

4. The Eagle is the only bird that loves the storm. When clouds gather, the eagles get excited. The eagle uses the wings of the storm to rise and is pushed up higher. Once it finds the wing of the storm, the eagle stops flapping and uses the pressure of the raging storm to soar the clouds and glide. This gives the eagle an opportunity to rest its wings. In the meantime all the other birds hide in the leaves and branches of the trees. We can use the storms of our lives (obstacles, trouble, etc) to rise to greater heights.

Achievers relish challenges and use them profitably.

5. The Eagle tests before it trusts. When a female eagle meets a male and they want to mate, she flies down to earth with the male pursuing her and she picks a twig. She flies back into the air with the male still pursuing her. Once she has reached a height high enough for her, she lets the twig fall to the ground and watches it as it falls. The male chases after the twig. The faster it falls, the faster he chases until he reaches it and has to catch it before it falls to the ground, then bring it back to the female eagle. The female eagle grabs the twig and flies to a much higher altitude pursued by the male until she perceives it high enough, and then drops the twig for the male to chase. This goes on for hours, with the height increasing until the female eagle is assured that the male eagle has mastered the art of picking the twig which shows commitment, then and only then, will she allow him to mate with her!

Whether in private life or in business, one should test commitment of people intended for partnership.

6. Eagles prepare for training. When about to lay eggs, the female and male eagle identify a place very high on a cliff where no predators can reach; the male flies to earth and at first, picks thorns and lays them on the crevice of the cliff, then flies to earth again to collect twigs which he lays in the intended nest. Then he picks thorns and lays them on top of the twigs. On them, he lays soft grass covering the thorns and then picks rugs to put on the grass. When this first layering is complete the male eagle runs back to earth and picks more thorns, grass and rugs and lays them on top of the thorns, then plucks his feathers to complete the nest. The thorns on the outside of the nest protect it from possible intruders. Both male and female eagles participate in raising the eagle family.

The people who love us do not let us languish in sloth but push us hard to grow and prosper. Even in their seemingly bad actions they have good intentions for us.

7. When the Eagle grows old, his feathers become weak and cannot take him as fast as he should. When he feels weak and about to die, he retires to a place far away in the rocks. While there, he plucks out every feather on his body until he is completely bare. He stays in this hiding place until he has grown new feathers, then he can come out.

We occasionally need to shed off old habits & items that burden us add no value to our lives.

I wondered lonely as a cloud....:)

I wondered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils ;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in the never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay :
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced ; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee :
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company :
I gazed-and gazed-but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought :

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude ;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Padharo mahare desh.....................................

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.......

Rajasthan is a combination of two different words i.e. Raja (king) and Sthan (Place). Rajasthan or the place of kings was also known as Rajputana once. Rajasthan has always been a state of royals.

Rajasthan was formed on 30 March 1949, when all erstwhile princely states ruled by Rajputs, known as Rajputana, merged into the Dominion of India. Rajasthan is made up of 19 Rajput states : Jaipur (Capital city), Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bundi, Bikaner, Kotah, Kishangarh, Karauli, Bharatpur, Jailsalmer, Alwar, Tonk, Dholpur, Sirohi, Dungarpur, Pratabgarh, Banswara, Jahalawar, Shahpur.

One of the world's oldest mountain ranges, the Aravalli Range, cradles the only hill station of Rajasthan, Mount Abu, and its world-famous Dilwara Temples, a sacred pilgrimage for Jains. Eastern Rajasthan has two national tiger reserves, Ranthambore and Sariska, as well as Keoladeo National Park near Bharatpur, once famous for its bird life. Rajasthan is also famous for its arid desert called 'The THAR DESERT'.

Rajasthan is home to many courageous heroes, admired for their courage, strength and determined struggles. A few popular heroes are Bappa Rawal, Rana Sangha, Pratap Singh and Prithviraj Chauhan.

People of Rajasthan are not only royals from outside but they are true royal hearted people. They love there mother land, they work as hard as they can, They believe in EYE FOR AN EYE concept and they have hearts as big as there palaces.

Rajasthan is the land which is very hard to be described in words.... Its more of an exerpience which one can enjoy only by being a part of it........:)

So Long....So Late

The night now spreads
Tranquil and silent,
My miffled sobs remain
To tell me what I feel.

To tell a world
One day I wish to live.
To tell a world
One day I wish to survive.

My soul would crave
For that thought so different.
It would beg again
For a soul so different.

My hope would cease
When love would end.
And I would cease,
When mine hope ends.

I live today with hopes
Once I hope to realise.
But then again I ponder
Would dear hopes be all my life?

My hopes would give me choices
My hopes would give me a path.
Once when I rise without hopes,
Would I then live along?

Then I wish and pray
That I live along with hopes
My hopes would keep me all along
Company, that none would give.

My comrade so true
My friend so special.
Never make me happy
'Cos I would need you.

Hope, mine friend would abandon me
When I would be so happy.
So be there for me, never cease
"Cos I would cease without thee

The most beautiful person of my life wrote these words for me............I LOVED YOU POPO.... :)

a thought

Everyday I want to fly, stay by my side,
Everyday I want to dream, stay by my side,
Every morning I wish I could just play,
wish the mornings would just stay....

Beautiful.... isn't that the only word that comes to your head when you listen these lines.... i feel amazed at the thoughts of the writer......

I feel everyone who has grown up wish something like this at some or the other part of the life.. Dont you wonder why we wish something like this???
I feel we wish this just because we know that amongst all the gains we have got from our lives after we have grown up, there is something that has lost, something which we will never get again, somethign which we all can describe in our own words, something which i describe as INNOCENCE.......... :)

But still breathe with the beautiful hope of getting it again one day....and that day would be when the mornings would just stay........................:)
